The First Baptist Church of Nashville has been serving the downtown area for over 200 years. Having worshiped in the current building for over 50 years the leadership believed it was necessary to update the audio-visual components of their worship service. The challenge was to integrate state-of-the-art systems while maintaining the integrity of this historic sanctuary.
Having worshiped in the current building for over 50 years, the leadership believed it was necessary to renovate the sanctuary and update the technology components of their worship service. Their primary goals were to connect with people and glorify God for years to come. The property management committee approached Mankin Media with the dream of integrating technologies, uniting their congregation, and embracing their community.
The challenge was to integrate state-of-the-art systems while maintaining the integrity of this historic sanctuary. Mankin was able to collaborate with the committee and staff to achieve the dream of the church.
The logistics required Mankin to reconfigure the main stage, update their audio system, and install new video screens for worship.
The First Baptist tech team included Mankin Media’s Guardian services to ensure everything ran smoothly. Modern-day AVL systems are complex, and troubleshooting can be tricky, even for the technically savvy. Guardian by Mankin is a suite of products designed to provide remote, real-time, support through Mankin’s network operations center (NOC). This gives the First Baptist team a knowledge source of information to help troubleshoot during their rehearsals as well as during service on Sunday.

Ultimately Mankin was able to provide state-of-the-art technology for this storied sanctuary, all while keeping the historic integrity intact. Not only does the First Baptist Team now have the equipment and tools they need to engage their audience on Sunday morning, they also have the Guardian Services to support them in real time to get the most out of their equipment.
